Royal elite ruthless empire5/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Ruthless Empire is the last official book of the "Royal Elite" series. There is some a intensity that really blows some of the previous books out of the water on this and shows a sense of redemption and longing that was so captivating. But when their parents decide to get married, another layer of forbidden enters their relationship. And he is determined to show Silver whom she belongs to. ![]() Now Silver is technically engaged to Aiden, but there is a dark connection between Cole and Silver. This is a story that delivers with Cole being one of the four horseman at Royal Elite and with our heroine being the "Queen B" but it also protrays so much more depth. Cole and Silver have known each other for a long time since they were children. In Ruthless Empire, we have the beginning of he romance between Cole and Silver. Rina Kent definitely delivered on Cole's book and I was so entranced by their connection and all that twisted angst that this author handles so beautifully. But if you are a fan of bully romance or new adult romance with a step sibling twist, then you definitely need to grab this one up. But I definitely enjoyed it in every single way! I had such a job reading this one, and it was so intense at times. ![]() ![]() Ruthless Empire is the 6th installment and this is where we finally get Cole's book and it was much more twisted than I actually expected from him. This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review. ![]()

The museum of innocence by orhan pamuk5/24/2023 ![]() It is the place where, in geographical terms, Europe comes to an end and Asia begins. This is a place where two continents meet, a place where eastern and western cultures collide. ![]() To the west is the Mediterranean and to the east is the Black Sea. The currents in the Bosphorus are powerful and strong. A body of water that separates Europe from Asia. Istanbul sits on the shores of the Bosphorus. The novel ‘Museum of Innocence’ portrays a carefree life for the wealthy young socialites of Istanbul in the 60s and 70s and yet…. He writes about love and yearning and passion and social structures that cannot be breached. A city proud of its Turkish and Stambuli culture and traditions and yet at the same time a city that yearns to be ‘western’ and more open in its approach to modern life. He writes about growing up in a city of tradition and pride. Orhan Pamuk writes about his city, the city of Istanbul, in a lyrical and poetic way. ![]() I was enthralled and engaged in a way that doesn’t happen very often. ![]() Each day I found myself compelled to sit down and read as much as I could. ![]() I’m actually quite sad that I’ve finished it. It is one of the most powerful novels I’ve read. I’ve just finishing reading Orhan Pamuk’s Museum of Innocence. ![]()

Monica ali novels5/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Rather, Ali seeks to create a more nuanced portrayal of how London uniquely shapes the life of a few immigrants and how in doing so, she evades totalisations of the immigrant experience in London. In this paper, I will argue how it is fruitless to interpret the inclusion of Hasina’s life in Dhaka as a foil intended to project certain messages about the ability of London to enrich an immigrant’s life through providing them with the tools to emancipate themselves. ![]() What critics tend to overlook, however, are the subtle ways in which Ali subverts or complicates both Nazneen and Hasina’s characterisations. The epistolary form of Hasina’s narrative – and its role in Nazneen’s life – is an issue that often perplexes readers and critics alike, especially given the seemed stereotypes that litter Hasina’s narrative. Monica Ali’s portrayal of London and Nazneen’s experience as an immigrant is, to a great degree, inflected by a comparison to which Ali repeatedly returns – Hasina’s experience in her homeland of Bangladesh. ![]()

Now, Miriam faces a terrifying future, one where she watches her world burn town by town, and the one man responsible for it all is her seemingly indestructible “husband”. But when the massive and terrifying horseman corners Miriam, he calls her his wife, and instead of killing her, he takes her back to his camp. This army was so fierce and powerful that most people presumed it was just a myth used to scare soldiers before their first battle. He was chosen by Apocalypse in the fifteenth century to become his horseman and lead his army, the Riders of the Dark. There is no surviving this, especially not once Miriam catches the eye of War himself. Not much is known about this incarnation of War. ![]() Houses are burning, the streets run red with blood, and a traitorous army is massacring every last resident. ![]() The day Jerusalem falls, Miriam Elmahdy knows her life is over. Shadow and bone book 15/23/2023 ![]() ![]() It will blow up all of the road in front of us, and it will be too crowded with antagonists and changing magic when we haven’t even established the rules of the magic.” “My challenge to Eric was, I think it’s a great idea, but we cannot Frankenstein the plot of Six of Crows with the plot of Shadow and Bone. ![]() “He didn’t want to adapt these two series in isolation from each other,” Bardugo explained to. They are arguably three of Bardugo’s best characters, which explains why Heisserer, who read Six of Crows before Shadow and Bone, was so desperate to include them early on. Their names are Kaz Brekker, Inej Ghafa, and Jesper Fahey, and they’re three of the beloved ruffians from Bargudo’s Six of Crows duology.
